All cutting and notching of fiberglass mat must be done before you mix resin. You cannot stop to make these cuts with your sticky fingers while you are working or your resin will harden and you will have a mess. The mat will fall apart if you are messing with it while you have resin on your hands. Note that piece here that has been cut and notched to fit around the cross brace.
